Child Watch

The YMCA provides drop-in child watch for children within
the ages of six weeks to six years. Parents must remain
on the YMCA campus while their children are in the child
watch play room. We ask that you provide your own
bottles and diapers.

 
Hours: Monday-Friday
8:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Fee: Members: $1.50 per child, per visit OR
$15 for a punch card (10 visits)
Participants: $3.00 per child, per visit

Y Club Afterschool

Where are your children after school? The YMCA offers a great After School Program that provides a fun and safe environment for your children. This structured program lasts from dismissal to 6 p.m. on all days in which the Kirksville School District is in session. This program will be held at the YMCA for Primary aged children and at Ray Miller School for elementary aged children. Children will be separated according to school enrollments. Financial Assistance is available.

Pre-registration is required prior to start of program and new paperwork is required each new school year.

Safe Sitter Essentials with CPR

Safe Sitter is a one-day, nationally certified course designed for children ages 11 and up. Taught in a fun and interactive format, Safe Sitter teaches participants safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills, and appropriate responses to medical emergencies. In a Safe Sitter class, students learn through lively discussion, practice and role-play about a variety of topics including baby sitting ethics and etiquette and the business aspects of baby sitting. Class size is limited.
